Tried a steam integrity verification, clearing out files and got nowhere. I was trying out a PVE server the other night and got some incompatible files not matching blah blah message. Interesting that you just had to copy the files, thanks for leaving a reply on what worked. It basically says make a new sandbox version of the game and copy the map_sand.bin from the new instance into the one you want changed. In hosted you should be able to change zombie settings with the gui interface in game.įor single player and dedicated this recent post on reddit might help. The other files can/will/should be auto regenerated by the server. map_p.bin is the most important as this is your character. Since then some server cleanup options have been added, or something like that, which trigger some client files to be refreshed or cleared. To counter this any files with map_#*_#*.bin were removed from the client. Anways the clients map files would leave artifacts or ghosts of what was wiped out on the server side. Many years ago when I was running a server for some friends and myself we'd do wipes of the map, excluding certain map ranges for things like safe house (for example map_939_1012.bin matches up to the coords of 9390-9399x10120-10129 on ). Copying entire folders (./servertest_player/) -īe careful copying the entirety of old version of servertest_player or IP_player. I haven't had a dedicated server up for some time, so some of this information may be outdated.ġ.
